To all Hillsborough AYSO girls born in 2004 and later:

As many of you know, Hillsborough AYSO adopted a year round Select program for higher level soccer players. The program has involved both boys and girls Select teams playing in the Fall Select league (BAFSL) and the Spring Select league (PCSSL), in addition to our traditional Winter Select teams.

This year we will be fielding a Girls 14U Fall Select team. This team will compete in BAFSL league and in up to 3 tournaments this Fall. Anyone born in 2004 and 2005 is eligible, and anyone born before then could be eligible if invited to "play up." There is currently a core group of players playing in the PCSSL and have played in Winter Select of this year as 12U Girls that will possibly form the nucleus of this new team. But all players must try out for, and must be invited to join, the team.

Any 2004s would be eligible to play for either UNITED (the 15U Girls team that will compete in club league and coach Butterworth is managing) or Fall Select.

 Furthermore, those players who will make the Fall Select team will also play in the core program (concurrent model) at least at 50% participation, in order to preserve their eligibility for Winter Select, PCSSL, and AYSO tournaments moving forward in the year.

 For those interested in this option, there will be a TRYOUT on June 3rd at 4:30 p.m. at the West School field.

The team will be selected on the basis of performance at the tryout, player ratings from last Fall, coach recommendations, and demonstrated commitment to playing soccer at this level.

Selection to the team will require a commitment to attend practices, 90% of the league matches, and as many as three tournaments in the Fall. In return, the players will have an opportunity to play at a competitive level.
