Hillsborough AYSO Region 110

Registration

All Divisions Full and Closed Except 14UG and 16UG

Fall Season Training Sessions - October 4th - November 14th

We’re excited to announce that we will be hosting a skills and conditioning development program. Our program will look very different from what we have known AYSO to look like. There will be no games, scrimmages, or uniforms - however, players will be working on their skills while remaining physically distanced while in line with state and local guidelines.

Limited spots available for 14UG and 16UG only
• 8u registration fee - $120
• 10u - 16u registration fee - $150

Structure of Sessions
▪ 8u (2013-2014)
   - One 60 minute session - time/day based on coach availability
   - 8 players maximum per training pod/team
▪ 10u - 16u (2005-2012)
   - Two 75 minute sessions - time/day based on coach availability
   - 12 players maximum per training pod/team
• Each team will be a cohort with no mixing of players from other cohorts
• Players will be in their own grid for practices staying 6 feet apart from other players at all times
• NO scrimmaging, contact or games can happen due to current restrictions

Key Safety Precautions
• Coaches wear masks at all times
• Players wear masks when walking to/from the field
• Players bring their own ball, mask, sanitizer, and water; no sharing of any equipment, except passing is permitted (ball provided at first practice)
• Coaches will take players' temperatures with a touchless thermometer at the beginning of each practice
• Hand sanitizer will be used at the start and end of each practice
• Safety monitors are volunteers who oversee that protocols are in place on the field; they will monitor practices and - if needed - help coaches enforce protocols

Volunteer registration (Coach positions only) open: click here. Coach registration is open through September 12.

Safety monitors - please email [email protected] for more information and to register.

How do I register my child(ren):  (only 14UG and 16UG have availability as of Oct 2)

Registration for players will open on September 14th. Space is limited and each divisions enrollment is based on how many coaches volunteer for that specific division.   Please register your child even if you submitted registration via that waitlist over the summer. The waitlist that we created over the summer has been deleted as our plans have changed.

This program won’t be a fit for everyone.  If your child(ren) won’t be able to follow the guidelines, we look forward to having your family back in a future season. Players will need to be able to follow protocols that require socially distancing at all times before, during and after practice sessions at the field.

Our Board continues to work on critical items to execute our program, including finalizing our safety protocols, coaching resources and schedules. We’ll make these available as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience!

Requests for players to play in a higher (older) division or to play down in a lower (younger) division must be submitted to [email protected].  These requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Please email this request and include justification along with the child's height, weight, relative speed and aggressiveness compared to his or her peers.  Play-Up / Play-Down requests will be considered only if space is available in the requested age division.

Upper Division Conduct Policy

Players are required to demonstrate good sporting behavior at all AYSO events.  This includes practices as well as games.  In recent years we have seen a growing incidence of unacceptable conduct in the upper divisions, for example: use of profanity or epithets, taunting another team when Hillsborough is far ahead in score, and persistent disruption at practices.  To address this issue, the Hillsborough AYSO Board has approved the following measures which began with the Fall 2017 season.  These measures are intended to ensure that all AYSO participants have the chance to enjoy soccer in a positive sporting environment.

For the 16U and 19U divisions, draft team rosters will be subject to review and approval by a committee of the Hillsborough AYSO Board.  Players who have demonstrated recurrent unacceptable conduct will not be invited to play and will have their registration fees refunded.

For all 14U, 16U and 19U divisions, the following sanctions for unacceptable conduct will be implemented:

  • Coaches should remind players that participation in AYSO is a privilege, not an entitlement.
  • Any player who receives a yellow card related to unacceptable conduct will be required to sit a game before being allowed to play again.  To satisfy this requirement the player must attend one game and remain on the bench for the entire game.  Attendance must be noted by the referee on the game card.
  • Any player who receives a red card related to unacceptable conduct will be suspended immediately and not permitted to play unless approved by the Regional Commissioner.
  • Coaches are required to report persistently disruptive behavior or unacceptable conduct at practices to the Regional Commissioner.  The Regional Commissioner may suspend offending players.
