We will email if the fields are closed. Fields are open unless you hear from us!

Even if Hillsborough fields are closed, Area games outside of Hillsborough often continue on artificial turf fields.

The status of Hillsborough fields (West, North, South, Crocker, Vista) are determined by Hillsborough Rec. In general, it is safe (and fun) to play in the rain, unless lightning or very strong winds are present.

Fields will be closed if H Rec determines that playing on the field will cause too much damage. Sometimes this determination can't be made until the morning.

Note that even if we do allow games to start, the Referee, at his or her discretion, can cancel or abandon a match if they feel that the conditions are unsafe or will do irreparable damage to the fields.

For training sessions, coaches, please do not use the grass if it has standing water or squishes like a sponge when you walk on it. Also, please do not use the fields if there are field closed signs posted. In this case, you will either need to cancel practice or conduct your practice on the blacktop.
